| Amount of Works You Can Submit: 3/week. Joining. Anyone can join as a member, and the request will automatically be accepted. You do not need to submit anything to be a member and your work does not have to meet a certain standard to join. You can join as a contributor, although please note that this is not necessary for you to be able to submit work. A contributor (or administrator) deals with sorting through works that will be accepted or declined within the group. This is a "Best" group, where we have certain standards here, and accepting/declining a work may not always be an easy choice. You may also have to prepare to donate some time for people who want feedback and ready to discuss/share ideas for improving the group in our admin only area. All this said, if you wish to be a contributor, please send the group a note explaining why you would like to become an admin and why you would be a great member for our team. Any type of critiquing or management experience are a plus. Please title the note with "Requesting to Become a Contributor". When joining our group, please do not remove our journal entries from being received in your inbox. What we post here is important information dealing with the group, and we will do our best to not make many entries. This being, the entries may be long, but please take the time to read through them. Basic Submitting Rules  Must be a fan art of something that is well-known and/or recognizable. No Original Characters (OCs) please.No fan fictions please. We fell in love with characters for who they are and what their originators made them to be. A fan fiction is taking a well-known character and making your own story out of it. It can be very hard judging/critizing fan fiction because you have to know the character's personality and what they would do in certain situations. This can be very time-consuming if none of us admins knows the fan-based characters you are portraying.No sketches, line arts, or Work In Progress (WIPs) please.No dirty sexual images please. Artistic nudity is fine. If something is softly hinting at a yuri, yaoi (or any kind of porn), then that's fine. Sorry, no hardcore explicit images. I would like to keep this group opened for a wide variety of watchers, and some people may find it offensive or not appropriate for our younger viewers.Collaborations are fine/okay, but free colorations of line art, bases, stock, etc.. are not. This is to prevent seeing multiple pieces of the same thing with different versions. Using stock images may be okay/slide, as long as it is not something repeatedly used (if we notice something is becoming used a little too much, and we have some in our gallery already, we may have to remove it to be fair for those who want their work in).No screenshots, original art, traces, or any kind of pictures from a generator/maker program may be submitted. References are always highly encouraged, but please try to make it your own. If you are using an artist's drawing as a reference, that's fine, as long as you make the picture your own in some way and post a link in the comments to what you were looking at.Any kind of work will be accepted/considered here: oils, digital, sculpture, fabric, photos, costume props, photo manipulation, crafts, etc... The thing that counts is the quality of the work.If you have multiple photos, please select only your best. We will only accept your best shots and the rest will be declined. Any kind of style is accepted: chibi, caricature, anime, realism, etc...Please always credit the original in some way (either through your comments or even just filing your picture under the "fan art" folder when updating it to deviantart itself). If we find you are trying to pass off someone else's work as your own, you will be reported.We have set up a "Quality Requirement" list in our first journal entry. Please visit and review that section if you are unsure of what we consider to be "the best". |
